TFS Corporation Ltd is the parent company of Tropical Forestry Services Ltd and was founded in 1997. TFS is a publicly-listed Western Australian company committed to the growth and management of Indian Sandalwood plantations on behalf of Growers (investors) and the Company itself.

Since the first planting of Indian Sandalwood in Kununurra in 1999 TFS has established over 840 hectares and continues to plant each year.  This makes TFS the largest managed Indian Sandalwood plantation in the world. 

With the help of its expert forestry staff and the company’s large bank of land and water, TFS plans to significantly expand this resource.

The growing world demand for this highly prized aromatic oil is currently being met by the harvesting of wild stands.  A clean, green – sustainably produced and environmentally-responsible - alternative exists. TFS is dedicated to consistently providing large quantities of high quality plantation-grown Indian Sandalwood, cultivated and produced in an environmentally friendly and ethical way. 

Using a dynamic and pro-active approach to sustainable development, TFS has implemented initiatives ranging from water-recycling to indigenous initiatives and is now looking at sustainable energy sources for its future distillation operations. 

This commitment is integral to the company’s aim of becoming the world’s largest sustainable, ethical and environmentally-responsible supplier of Indian Sandalwood (Santalum album) oil.
