TFS has approximately 5,000 hectares of Indian Sandalwood (Santalum album) trees established in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. Through the acquisition of renowned distiller Mt Romance, TFS can also offer organic Sandalwood oil (Santalum spicatum) to buyers in the global fragrance market.

The Hon Richard Alston, Chairman

Richard Alston is a non-executive director of UK listed public company Chime PLC and a director of Australian based companies CQS (Investment Management) Australia Pty Ltd, Nanuk Asset Management Pty Ltd and Balmoral Gardens Pty Ltd. He is also a member of the International Advisory Board of London based hedge fund CQS LLP and a member of the Asia-Pacific Regional Advisory Board of Alcatel-Lucent.

 

Since 2004 he has been an Adjunct Professor of Information Technology at Bond University, Queensland.

From 2005-08 he was Australian High Commissioner (Ambassador) to the United Kingdom and from 1996-2003 he was the Federal Minister for Communications, IT and the Arts in the Australian Parliament. He served as a Senator for Victoria from 1986-2004 and was Deputy Leader in the Senate for more than ten years.

 

Prior to taking up his London post he was a director of Hansen Technologies Ltd, UCMS Pty Ltd and Broadcasting Services Australia Ltd, of which he served as Chairman.

Ian Ross Thompson,   Executive director

Ian Thompson, Executive Director

Mr Thompson is a former senior executive of News Corporation, and a former Managing Director of Community Newspapers Perth Print and the Super League Perth. Among his achievements was the building and commissioning of a $100 million printing works for Perth Print, a wholly owned subsidiary of News Corporation. As Director Sales and Marketing, Mr Thompson has increased MIS sales volume and revenue by over 150% since 2007.

Timothy Croot,  Non-executive director

Mr Croot holds over 39 years of experience in the agricultural industry developing a range of horticultural, agricultural, wholesaling, nursery and pastoral businesses throughout Australia. Since 1991 Mr Croot has been an active member of the Kununurra community, holding positions on a variety of regional organisations. He is now Chairman and Managing Director of a large nursery business that supplies Indian Sandalwood seedlings to the Kununurra Indian Sandalwood industry.

Ronald Lionel Eacott,  Non-executive director

Ronald Eacott, Non-Executive Director

Mr Eacott is the Managing Director of Expo Document Copy Centre (WA) Pty Ltd, a leading company in the reprographic industry.

 

Mr Eacott is highly experienced in company management with previous positions including State Manager of Union Steel (seven years) and national Manager (New Zealand) for Elders Pastoral (three years). He was the former State Manager (WA) of Boral Steel and later Boral Cyclone over an 18 year period and plays an active role in the community.

 

Adam Gilchrist, Non-Executive Director

Adam Gilchrist is one of Australia’s best known international cricketers and is currently the captain of the Kings XI Punjab in the Indian Premier League.

 

As the Global Ambassador for TFS Corporation since June 2010, he has been involved in the promotion of sandalwood-based products in high-growth countries on the sub-continent such as India, and has an understanding of TFS products and their potential in new markets.

 

Mr Gilchrist is a member of the Local Steering Committee for the Commonwealth Business Forum, to be held prior to the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Perth in October 2011, and is currently Chairman of the National Australia Day Council, appointed by the Prime Minister in 2008.

 

Mr Gilchrist was a Non-Executive Director of Travelex Australasia from 2003-2008.

 

He retired from international cricket in 2008 and is the only wicketkeeper in Australia to have captained the Australian Test and One Day teams. He is acknowledged for his leadership, sportsmanship and outstanding contribution to Australian cricket.

 

In June 2010, Adam was awarded the Order of Australia (AM) for his services to cricket and his contribution to charity.

 

Julius Matthys, Non-Executive Director 

Mr Matthys is an experienced senior executive with BHP Billiton. He has held senior roles in Iron Ore and Aluminium marketing with responsibility for global sales and customer relationships. From 2008 to 2011 he managed the Worsley Alumina Joint venture between BHP Billiton, Japan Alumina Associates and Sojitz Corporation. Worsley alumina is one of the largest alumina refineries in the world producing 3.5 million tonnes of alumina per annum.  Mr Matthys has just recently taken up the role of Vice President External Affairs WA for the BHP Billiton Group. 

Frank Cullity Wilson, Executive chairman

Frank Cullity Wilson, Chief Executive

Mr Wilson is the founding Director, major shareholder and Chief Executive of the ASX listed TFS Group. He was previously the Managing Partner of the legal firm Wilson and Atkinson (for 16 years) which has established a reputation as a leading Australian taxation litigation and advisory law firm.

 

Mr Wilson has extensive experience in the forestry sector and comes from a strong agricultural / forestry family background. He is a Governor of the University of Notre Dame.

Quentin Megson,  Company Secretary / Chief Financial Officer

Quentin Megson, Company Secretary / Chief Financial Officer

Megson joined the TFS Group in January 2005 as Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary.  Prior to that he was a partner in the tax and business services division of chartered accounting firm - Pitcher Partners.  He has been a chartered accountant for over 15 years as well as a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Taxation Institute of Australia.

 

Martyn Jacobs, General Manager - Corporate Strategy

Martyn has worked in the finance industry for the past 18 years as an analyst across the corporate banking and stockbroking sectors.  Martyn comes to TFS with a strong background in research and analysis of a variety of industries and is well regarded in within institutional investment circles.  Martyn has particular knowledge of MIS companies and the agribusiness sector through his research as an equities analyst for the past decade.  Martyn was the lead analyst on TFS during his four years with Ord Minnett and his market experience brings particular insight into the TFS business, as well as an equity investment. Martyn holds a Bachelor of Economics from Monash University and is a F. Fin from FINSIA.

Mario has over 25 years experience in local, national and international sales and marketing in a range of consumer products. Mario joined TFS in 2007 as Head of Global Product Sales for the TFS Group. 

Malcom Baker, General Manager - Forestry Operations

Malcom Baker, General Manager - Forestry Operations

Malcom has extensive experience in similar plantation management roles in both Australia and Papua New Guinea.  As well as a lifetime spent in agricultural industries, he possesses qualificiations in both graduate and post-graduate agricultural studies.  Malcom has worked in primary production, manufacturing of agricultural products and rural input merchandising, and has extensive experience in both general management and plantation management in tropical areas.  His skills in human resource management, financial planning, budgeting and work place systems and procedures assist him in coordinating and improving the Kununurra operations.
